Booking for Christmas or the winter break?

Demand for Schengen appointments rises from mid-October as people plan Christmas, New Year, and the UAE winter break, and the calendar for the dates you need can look fully booked. It rarely stays that way. Applicants cancel and reschedule all the time, and every cancelled slot goes back on the portal for whoever sees it first.

You can apply up to 6 months before you travel and no later than 15 days before, so a late-December trip still has most of November to find a slot. Pick your city and destination on WhatsApp and we alert you when one appears.

Cancellations FAQ

Your Questions Answered

Schengen Alert does this on WhatsApp, with nothing to download. When someone cancels, their slot goes back on the official visa centre portal. We watch the portal for your city and destination around the clock and send you an alert the moment a slot appears, whether it is a cancellation or a newly released date.

Yes. Applicants cancel or move appointments when their plans change, and the visa centre returns those slots to the booking calendar. They are rarely announced and are usually taken within minutes by whoever is looking at that moment.

At any hour, with no fixed schedule, including nights and weekends. That is why refreshing the portal yourself rarely works and an alert does.

Not yet. Under the EU Visa Code you can lodge an application up to 6 months before you travel and no later than 15 days before. For a trip in late December that leaves most of November to find a slot, and cancellations keep appearing until then.

No. We alert you and you book it yourself on the official portal, so you stay in control of your application. Be ready to book straight away: a cancelled slot does not stay open long.

Applicants in the UK, the US, Canada, Ireland, and the UAE, for the Schengen destinations their visa centres handle. You pick your city and destination when you start on WhatsApp. Short-stay (Type C) visas only.
